RISING STARS PRESENTS: SHREK THE MUSICAL

POPs RISING STARS DIVISION (12 + up)

Our Rising Stars audition-based program program serves up to 40 students in its cast. We offer one musical in the Fall, and one in the Spring, both

featuring four performances.

Rising Stars meets the needs of the older performer. More advanced choreography and staging allows for a comprehensive theater experience for both beginning and seasoned actors alike. Teamwork, love of self, discipline, and learning to trust the process are key components of this popular division.

SHREK PARENT VOLUNTEERS

Whether selling concessions, taking tickets or helping with set building, we always appreciate the help of our families in making our productions a success!

ABOUT SHREK THE MUSICAL

"Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero: Shrek!

Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there's more to the story than meets the ears. Irreverently fun for the whole family, Shrek proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre.
