RISING STARS ACTING
Evie has been teaching, directing, and choreographing for the stage for the last 10 years, and has had the privilege of being the MiniPops resident director for the last 3. Before she began her teaching career she performed professionally with various theater companies around the world. She lives for the safety of the rehearsal room and the joy of creating, and is excited to work with students to expel self-doubt and dive into the play of acting.

Ms. Marcela’s passion for music has fueled her journey in music as an accomplished singer, songwriter, pianist, and Music/Vocal Director for Musical Theater. As a music educator, Marcela brings 20 years of teaching children and adults, striving to provide a safer learning environment for every student free of anger and judgment; fostering confidence, self-esteem, growth mindset, and a love for creative expression.

Katie is a former POPs performer who recently graduated from the USC School of Dramatic Arts. Now as a voice actor, she stars as Pencilmiss in the Youtube animated series, Pencilmation, and has recorded commercials for universities, non-profits, and more. She is thrilled to be a part of the POPs family as an acting and voiceover teacher, and loves inspiring the next generation of performers.

Megan Davis is beyond excited to come back to POPS as an alumna after growing up with the program that kickstarted her life in musical theatre. Megan attended Indiana University’s BFA Musical Theatre program and then received her BA in Theatre Arts from Loyola Marymount University. After college, she started her professional life in theatre performing in musicals around Los Angeles. Favorite roles include: Maria inThe Sound of Music, Amber in Hairspray and Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes. When she is not performing, Megan has found joy in teaching musical theatre to all ages as a staff director with MET2 for the past two years. Musical theatre has changed Megan's life for the better and she wants to inspire others to follow their passion.
Ashley is proud to be the POPs Producer and Director of Tech Artisans. A child of humble beginnings, Ashley grew up doing shows at school and in community theater. After receiving her BA in Drama, Honors in Stage Management – Ashley freelanced as a stage manager; working with such companies as Dallas Theater Center and The Geffen Playhouse. Eventually Ashley landed at POPs where she found her home. Ashley recognizes the empowering and healing properties of theater and the family and community it creates. It is a dream come true to pass that gift along to the future generation of theater-makers both on AND offstage!

Christopher is an artist who works to affect positive change in the world through the arts. He is currently performing in the Broadway tour of HAMILTON. Broadway: Pretty Woman, The Book of Mormon. Tours: West Side Story(Baby John, Tony understudy) and White Christmas. His viral #Tappy YouTube videos have received over 10 million views and have been featured on ABC World Newswith Diane Sawyer, The Meredith Vieira Show, On Air with a Ryan Seacrest, and more. He has worked with students from all over the world, is a former professor at NY’s Cap21, and teaches group classes for Wanna Dance Canada, Broadway Dance Center and Springboard NYC. Emily has been seen on Broadway as Glinda in Wicked, Evita and The Visit. She has also appeared on the Tony Awards, at Lincoln Center and in Showtime’s “The Big C.” Emily was born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated from the University of Oklahoma.

Nathan received his BFA from the Juilliard School and has taught and performed around the world. Nathan started his Broadway journey with CHICAGO, went on to be an original cast member of Christopher Wheeldon's An American In Paris where he covered two leading roles, and was thrilled to be a part of bringing back Hello,Dolly! to the great white way alongside the fabulous Bette Midler.

Cyber Scenes is an acting game where we place you on teams and give a wacky scenario. Then you work with your team to create a scene that matches our scenario, create a costume from your closet for your character, and perform it for the other teams! It’s fast paced, it’s silly, it’s fun! Come ready to play and let loose!

Clay has performed on Broadway in King Kong(King’s Company), Newsies(Spot Colon) Matilda(Michael Wormwood), and the Broadway National Tours of Wicked(Chistery), West Side Story(A-rab), Jesus Christ Superstarand Cameron Macintosh’s Oliver. TV credits include: Saturday Night Live, The TONY Awards, MACYS Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America, The Late Show with David Letterman, The View, Good Afternoon America, The Marvelous Mrs. Maiseland more. COZY Q & A:
TV ACTING W/ MINA SUNDWALL

Mina Sundwall, born and raised in New York City, started acting at the age of 8 months as the ever-touching “crying baby” in a reenactment on The Maury Povich Show. Mina began professionally working at age 9. She has since played Francesca in the teen-slasher #Horror amidst a group of murderous 12-year old girls, by Indie director Tara Subkoff; Maya Kelder in Freeheld,directed by Peter Sollett with Julianne Moore, Ellen Page, Steve Carell; Justine in Maggie’s Plan, a kid stuck in the middle of the complicated divorce between her parents and step mom (Julianne Moore, Ethan Hawke, Greta Gerwig). She is more recently known for playing Penny Robinson, the middle-child of the Robinson family in Netflix’s reimagining of the classic series Lost in Space, and Lita Rory on the latest season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. And she’ll soon be back in space to film Lost in Space season 3, wondering where the Robinsons will find themselves this year.
